My friend Jessica was talking about stepping out into her yard, wearing a button up and carrying a can of beer and feeling like she was living the grown up life she used to imagine. I used to think about that stuff, too - I had really specific ideas about what life as a "young adult" involves.
- a garden
- a quilt
- a beautiful bed with nice sheets and covers
- a porch
- going to the grocery store and buying fresh ingredients that i actually cook
I think the major parts were going to the grocery store and having flowers in a vase and stuff. I don't know why I thought I wouldn't be a slob and that all of my shoes would suddenly be awsome.
